QUALITY SPECIALIST SUMMARY

The Quality Specialist position is to support the quality related activities for Global Parts to identify customer requests and communicate with international suppliers. The support person will help to identifying documents that are needed and retrieving them by due dates. Other roles are to identify customer complaints and support containment, root cause and countermeasures investigations from the supplier, and recovering any financial impacts from the responsible parts.

QUALITY SPECIALIST DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PPAP Management: Communicate with customer to determine engineering level and expected documents. Obtain documents from supplier for completion.
  • TAI Abnormal Logistics evaluation and support: Evaluate inbound/outbound logistic abnormalities and support sales for documentation or evidence in insurance claims.
  • Quality Area Control: Cross functional cooperation with sales and operations to audit and provide determination of products in quality area
  • RMA Champion: Upon quality complaint – issue RMA to the customer for the NG units
  • IMDS Management: Submit to correct IMDS database address
  • Tsusho Mexico (TTM) QPR Management: Receive Quality Problem Report (QPR) from TTM, report to supplier PIC and obtain deliverables by due date. Confirm sorting acceptance and communicate to TTM.
  • TMMGT Package specifications (PSS) Sustainability: Review current PSS for quality impacts upon QPR/QIR/STR/QFN submissions propose corrections if necessary.
  • Support Quality committee as support and advisor: Identify quality related issues from sales to address with TAI internal operations and Organize PIC assignment for deliverables for LTCM
  • Sorting Arrangements: Communicate with Customer/Supplier to understand Sort Criteria and Method. Contact Sorting Company and establish sorting activities and audit and track data and approve work instructions.
  • End Of Month Accounting responsibilities: Complete Expense reports and Accruals
  • Other Duties as Projects Assigned

QUALITY SPECIALIST EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The ideal Quality Specialist candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ Automotive Manufacturing or Quality experience. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with PPAP, SQAM, other automotive quality standards and knowledge of Safety Data Sheets.
