ABOUT THE Division

General Description

The Salesforce Application and Development team is actively looking for a talented Salesforce Administrator who has a passion to provide premier customer support. As part of the Information Technology Department, you will be required to follow established policies and procedures while fulfilling your responsibilities. Our ideal candidate should be self-motivated, able to support multiple business streams, and can evaluate complex requirements and provide sustainable solutions.  Your daily activities will include, supporting our existing applications and working on new applications, correcting defects, troubleshooting issues, and migrating changes. Our team is fast-paced, and you would be a great fit if you are reliable, resourceful, an excellent communicator and can work well with a team.

Work Hours

Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40-hour week, Monday - Friday.  Occasionally work overtime and/or additional hours.  Hours may change based on business need.  Application support activities periodically require on-call responsibilities or work during non-standard hours.     
Teleworking may be considered if certain working conditions are met. The candidate must have permanent residency within the state of Texas and must be able to meet in office requirements, which can vary among different sections (i.e.  report to office 1 day/month, 3 days/week, etc.). Travel reimbursements are not provided for teleworking.

 

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Four (4) years of experience as a Salesforce administrator

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Management Information Systems.
• Strong Salesforce product knowledge 
• Working in a SCRUM or agile environment
• Experience with State or Federal government processes

 

Substitutions
One (1) additional year of experience in Salesforce administration and development work may substitute for (30) thirty semester hours of educational requirement with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).
 

 
Licenses and Certifications

Required: Certified Salesforce Administrator
Preferred: Additional Salesforce certifications e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder certifications


 

In this role you will:
• Analyze business requirements and provide solutions that correspond to CPA polices and procedures
• Create user accounts and assign appropriate licenses, profiles and permissions
• Create and manage complex Salesforce flows
• Create Lightning record pages, record types, page layouts and compact layouts based on business requirements 
• Analyze business requirements and provide solutions that correspond to CPA polices and procedures
• Support multiple Salesforce projects and customer enhancements using an Agile methodology
• Ability to move Salesforce components from development to production using sandbox environments 
• Complete regular internal system audits
• Prepare for and complete upgrades
• Prepare Technical documentation
• Manage Salesforce data feeds and other integrations
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
