POSITION PURPOSE
This is a technical and professional position responsible for the management of the City's local and wide area networks with complete responsibility for engineering, designing, maintaining, updating and troubleshooting network and data communication problems. Work involves the complete technical support and administration of networks in accordance with established procedures and policies. Work is performed independently, under the direction of the Senior Telecommunications Administrator, who provides direction on critical issues and reviews recommendations having sectional or citywide impact. Position requires working some weekends, evenings and to participate in rotating on-call for after-hour emergencies.
