The SFO Fellow will report to the SFO’s Energy Program Manager, through which the Fellow will collect, analyze and report upon SFO’s campus-wide, solar generation, building and transportation related (airside and landside) utility and performance data to ensure compliance with City, State and Federal requirements and support campus-wide awareness and prioritization of operational efficiency projects.

  • Research applicability to SFO of new technologies, local/state/federal laws, grant opportunities and communicate findings.
  • Support greenhouse gas accounting using Airport Council International’s Airport Carbon Emissions Report Tool (ACERT) and industry best practices for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Engage with airlines and other airport tenants to collect Scope 3 emissions data, make recommendations for emissions reductions and assist in implementation.
