Job:  Lab Technician/Assistant Scientist (Cell Therapy Support)

Location: Seattle, WA 98109 -Onsite Role

Duration: 12+ months (With possibility of extension/conversion )
Client Domain: Biopharmaceutical
Pay Range: $30-$35/hr on W2

 

Summary:

The Cell Core team is responsible for supplying cellular products to support various internal teams within the cell therapy franchise. This role requires effective communication and collaboration across multiple organizational levels. The position will focus on fulfilling in-lab requests, requiring a high degree of approachability, teamwork, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will handle technical tasks, execute processes, and manage large data sets efficiently.

 

Additionally, this role supports the manufacturing of engineered T-cell products and intermediates for Technical Development, Process Development, Analytical Development, and Process Characterization. Responsibilities include process execution, documentation, data analysis, report drafting, and presentation of results. Attention to detail and flexibility, including the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, are key.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lab-based role assisting in the generation of T-cell products and intermediates.
  • Manage freezer inventory and oversee material allocation to stakeholders.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques when working in a biological safety cabinet.
  • Adapt to changes quickly and solve problems effectively in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A.A. (Lab Technician) or B.S. (Assistant Scientist) in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related scientific field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in bioprocess or related industry.
  • Strong aseptic technique is highly preferred.
  • Experience in buffer and media preparation, and cell banking is advantageous.
  • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with managing large inventory systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Position handles hazardous materials.
