What We Have Going On…
NCDMV – right here in Rocky Mount, has developed a rotational Professional Development program and we are looking to staff the Pilot program with our first cohorts starting now! The program is designed for highly motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to NCDMV’s operations including administrative, business and public relations.
Through this 18-month full-time, paid program, you will:
- Gain exposure to a variety of opportunities in the various fields of discipline and work within NCDMV through a rotational process.
- Progress through this structured program and gain experience in the various units that comprise the scope of the DMV.
- Learn to provide customer service to the public in all areas of vehicle registration.
- Develop the technical skills to process customer requests using the STARS program.
- Train to examine title, registration, and identification documents to detect fraudulent, altered, or suspicious items.
- Accept payment for services rendered while observing proper cash handling.
- Training will include researching and responding to transactions such as cancellation of title records, address changes, requests for certified records, real estate/mobile home cancellations and various general inquiries and correspondence.
What You Bring:
- Experience in reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and authenticity.
- Experience with recording, compiling, summarizing, analyzing data
- Experience balancing a cash drawer.
- Experience in computer and Mainframe databases.
- Demonstrated ability to proficiently use correct grammar, spelling, and vocabulary to compose/proofread correspondence.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures, and laws.

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
