Business Manager: Internship to Employed Position

xSpring is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization founded in 2005 with a mission to address humanity’s greatest challenges:  disease, climate change, and the threat of nuclear war.

Our longstanding program in neuroscience (NeuroSpring, www.neurospring.org) aims to advance neuroscientific research and training that drives improved healthcare for the underserved.  NeuroSpring is currently developing the Virtual Neurologist, an artificial intelligence-based medical device that will directly interact with, and evaluate, patients with neurological emergencies for the purpose of autonomously diagnosing the patient.  The Virtual Neurologist is currently in prototype stage and has a full project team to support it as it moves toward commercialization.

xSpring next looks to initiate a program aimed toward nuclear disarmament – the NuclearSpring project.  Our initial idea is to develop an annual artistic spectacle inspired by the Burning Man Festival and the AIDS Memorial Quilt.  A program champion will the necessary organization skills will be needed to start this program.

And in future years, xSpring intends to establish a second research program akin to NeuroSpring but with a focus on ecological research – the EcoSpring project.

xSpring looks to hire a full-time Business Manager who will address the day-to-day operations of the organization and to lead fundraising activities.  With success during an internship trial period, the immediate responsibilities of the position would be transitioned to the new employee.
