About the Opportunity

RiskVal Financial Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Java developer with strong fundamental skills in Object Oriented Programming & Development. We are a global supplier of Software as a Service (SaaS) for risk management, portfolio management, and trading strategies, servicing most top tier buy side and sell side trading firms across Wall Street.

RiskVal is headquartered in Princeton, NJ, but the position is hybrid to allow candidates the flexibility to work remotely.  

Qualifications and Technical Skills

Proficiency in Java

Strong fundamentals in OOP / OOD

Solid experience in multi-threaded/concurrent programming

Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns

Background / Degree in computer science or engineering

Well-versed in the following is a plus:

Unix/Linux scripting, Shell, Python

Middleware and messaging experience

Solid SDLC experience (build, test, deploy, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to work in a small group setting to rapidly develop new products

Personal Qualities

Highly responsible and self-motivated

Strong analytical development skills

Works well in a fast-paced environment learning new things

Willing and able to collaborate with other developers

Disciplined

Volunteering experience is a plus
