Job Title: Generative AI Developer

Location: Remote - Indiana Residency Required

 

Overview:

Burbio.com, a leading provider of K-12 Business Intelligence, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Generative AI Developer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of AI-driven applications that enhance K-12 Education vendors - from Fortune 500 to startups -  can provide their solutions to School Districts across the country.  You will be a key contributor to our product team in developing and integrating generative AI technologies, helping to build tools that improve data extraction, analysis, content creation and user experience.  Burbio deploys updated features to customers weekly. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual passionate about AI to gain hands-on experience in the fast-evolving field of generative AI within a collaborative startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of applications leveraging generative AI technologies.
  • Develop AI-driven solutions for web scraping and data extraction from various online sources while adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Implement document parsing techniques using AI/NLP to extract structured information from unstructured formats (e.g., PDFs, HTML, Word documents).
  • Collaborate with product team to integrate AI solutions into Burbio’s existing platforms.
  • Conduct research on emerging generative AI trends and tools to suggest innovative applications within Burbio’s product suite.
  • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
  • Assist in testing, debugging, and refining AI features to ensure reliability and scalability.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Basic understanding of generative AI models and their applications (i.e., LLM’s, Vector embeddings, RAG, Agentic AI)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with API integration and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer vision projects.
  • Knowledge of data preprocessing, fine-tuning AI models, or prompt engineering.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
