Paid Summer Fellowship in Progressive Politics
Paid Summer Fellowship in Progressive Politics
Progressive Pipeline is a nonprofit that places underrepresented candidates in paid internships and entry-level jobs at social change groups. Then, we offer them the training, mentorship, and connections they need to become tomorrow’s leaders. No previous experience in politics is required!
As a Progressive Pipeline Fellow, You'll Receive:
- Comprehensive training on professional skills—from managing up to building workplace relationships
- Placement in a paid internship at a progressive social change organization
- Personalized coaching to transform your fellowship into a career
- Long-term support and access to our alumni network
Our Host Organizations
We place fellows at a wide range of progressive groups that share our commitment to building a stronger, more diverse talent pipeline. Past host organizations have included:
- Labor unions like the SEIU and AFT
- Nonprofits like Accountable.US, Equis Labs, and Mi Familia Vota
- Electoral organizations like Run for Something and the Working Families Party
- Political consultants like BerlinRosen, Change Research, Moxie Media, and the Pivot Group
Real Work, Real Impact
All of our host organizations pay $15-20/hour, and you’ll be assigned real, meaningful work. Our fellows have:
- Developed organizing and outreach strategies for housing justice campaigns
- Analyzed union membership data to strengthen labor organizing efforts
- Created media plans for DC-based advocacy groups
- Designed training materials and resources to help first-time candidates run for office
Placements are available remotely and in-person throughout the year on a rolling basis.
