COMPENSATION GUIDELINES (Effective 6/30/2024 applicable collective bargaining agreements)

 

Top Step Trooper Salary: $116,120 plus overtime opportunities

 

Troopers are eligible for Stipends after graduation from the State Police Training Academy. They are as follows:

  • Annual Wellness Stipend $500
  • Equipment Stipend $150
  • Educational Stipend $500
  • Tuition Reimbursement

 

STATE POLICE VEHICLE

After graduating from the State Police Training Academy, each Trooper Trainee is issued a State Police vehicle, which they are permitted to use off-duty in line with existing rules and regulations.

 

CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS

The Connecticut State Police is now compensating Certified Police Officers that enter into the State Police Training Academy at a higher pay rate. This incentive program is open to all Certified Police Officers with a minimum of 2 years of experience and no more than a 2-year uninterrupted absence from the profession. We value the expertise and dedication that comes with experience, and we welcome those who have maintained their commitment to the profession and the community.
