Digital Materials Assistant, HANDS in Autism®
The HANDS in Autism® Interdisciplinary Training and Resource Center is an integrated program focused on comprehensive and individualized interventions for individuals with ASD and related disorders.
Job Summary
The Digital Materials Assistants work on a part-time basis to support the work of the HANDS team's development of online courses.
The expected work commitment is 20-28 hours per week; this position is not eligible for IU benefits.
This position is hybrid, requiring at least one day onsite in Indianapolis, although staff are welcome to be in person more if they choose.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Support a variety of editing tasks in Canvas and Word including converting from Illustrator into other formats.
● Follow guidelines and standards to improve the accessibility of documents, course sites, videos, and other course assets.
● Use pre-built frameworks, templates, and prototypes for course design in Canvas.
● Follow HANDS team instructions and guidance to design and/or produce instructional materials, products, and aids for online use.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with some online instructional technology (such as: Word, Google G-Suite, Adobe Products, and/or Canvas, etc.).
- Comfort with and interest in learning new technologies.
- Must be self-directed and organized.
- Ability to follow frameworks, templates, and prototypes for course design as determined by the HANDS design team.
