Special Education Teacher, ID Long Term Substitute

Meyer Middle School is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher with a passion for inspiring and encouraging ALL students to reach their potential through hard work and character to serve as a full time long term substitute from August 25, 2025 through approximately November 25, 2025. Candidates must be able to create a positive and safe learning environment by first having the skills to build meaningful connections with students and also by providing individualized or small group specialized academic instruction. Applicants must also be able to model and promote the positive character traits we expect to see in our students, including a strong work ethic, positive attitude, perseverance, growth mindset, collaborative and compassionate toward the needs of others. Further, we are seeking candidates with strong communication and organizational skills.

Candidates must have or be eligible for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license in intellectual disabilities or cross-categorical special education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with intellectual disabilities.
