Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have successfully obtained from an accredited junior college, college or university, 60 semester hours or equivalent quarter or trimester hours and achieved a “C” grade point average
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be 21 years of age at time of application and under 35 years of age at time of application and at such time as the initial eligibility list is established (except as otherwise determined by State Statute)
- Applicants must have 20/20 corrected vision (eyeglasses or contacts may be used to meet the standards) and must be able to distinguish between colors (red, blue, green and yellow)
- Must possess and provide a copy of a valid Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report Test (POWER) card dated within one year from the exam date
Orientation and Testing Information:
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The test will take place in the morning in or around Clarendon Hills, IL. Additional details, including the time and location of the written test, will be provided to eligible candidates approximately one week before the scheduled exam.
All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and successfully complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment consideration.
