We are currently hiring for both our Corrections and Patrol Divisions.

We currently allow lateral transfers with credit up to 5 years.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Applicants must be 21 years of age at the time of appointment
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Applicants must have no felony convictions or crimes of moral turpitude
You must be willing to work any shift
Possess a valid driver's license
Must have High School Diploma/GED
Successful applicants must take and pass a written exam, interviews, medical/physical/psychological examination, and a background investigation, including criminal history status
New employees must become a State Certified Corrections Officer or State Certified Police Officer depending on the appointment.
Must move within 30 miles in a straight line of 800 Ace Road, Princeton, IL 61356 within 1 year. 

Bureau County's FTO programs are certified by the VA as educational programs.
