Georgia State University - On Campus Jobs

Global Ambassador

July - August 2023 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I loved interacting with all the international students and helping them adjust to campus life and new environments they hadn't experienced before.

What I wish was different

I wish their class schedules were a bit shorter so they could enjoy their stay more and explore more places.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share is that it's so much easier to own a car so since MARTA is scary to a lot of international students.

Lifeguard

June - July 2021 • Georgia State University, GA

What I liked

Lifeguarding is an easy job.

What I wish was different

There were more shift rotations on stand during the summer, instead of being on stand for long periods at a time. The other staff would be more well mannered, there were very few who were kind to new staff.

Advice

Work here if you don't mind being on stand for long periods of time during the summer.
